El 26 de febrer es van donar a Los Angeles  els Oscars que són els premis més importants del "setè art" o sigui del cinema , la pel.licula amb més oscars va ser la pel.licula francesa muda "The Artist" amb cinc oscars , al igual que Hugo i The Iron Lady amb dos.
